About Us...Who We Are

A. SEARLE FIELD, President

USA Global Access, llc

Mystic, CT

Mr. Field is an attorney with an extensive background in business, government, and the law. In recent years he has built on solid experience in finance and investment to launch a number of projects using overseas investors. His recent experience financing major developments in Connecticut follows prior stints advising professional sports franchises and the largest casino in the world.

From 1995 to 1999, he oversaw the management of Foxwoods Resort and Casino, first with direct responsibilities and later as an advisor to the Mashantucket Tribal Nation and Foxwoods. During that time, Foxwoods grew to become the largest and most profitable casino in the world, with extremely low debt levels. That was followed by a period of advising major sports franchises as a principal of Sportscorp Ltd. of Chicago, including the New York Yankees in the early 2000s.

These activities have expanded to focus more directly on real estate financing, with funding through the federal U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services programs for foreign investors, notably funding

the largest development project in the State of Connecticut, as well as a number of high-end hotels and a remarkable internet retail success.

Searle has a degree in economics from Princeton University and graduated at the top of his class from Georgetown Law Center. After being appointed an Assistant U.S. Attorney, he served on the U.S. Senate Watergate investigation, and, later, as Chief Counsel and Staff Director of the Intelligence Committee in the United States Congress, uniquely heading up both the Democratic and Republican staffs. This time period covered assignments that ranged from the prosecution of Presidential tax returns to the reinvestigation of the Kennedy Assassination.

In the 1980s, Searle was the CEO of Field Industries, Inc., a leading regional construction

materials business. He was also the Founding Chairman of a successful regional commercial bank, and Chairman of a wholesale oil business with facilities in Connecticut and Massachusetts.  During the severe banking crisis that crippled the Connecticut economy in the early 1990s, Searle was brought in by Governor Lowell Weicker to serve as President of the quasi-public Connecticut Development Authority, overseeing a substantial and significant credit response that helped stabilize Connecticut’s commercial lending and broader job markets by using unique credit enhancement techniques and legislative tax initiatives.  Searle also served as Chief of Staff to Governor Weicker in the early to mid-1990s.

Searle has made extensive use of his career-long passion for leadership and personal

effectiveness behaviors through an entity he founded that has done extensive executive training in entities he has been involved with. Much of his focus with Foxwoods was in the area of leadership development, in collaboration with the Center for Creative Leadership in North Carolina and Yale University.

Searle lives in Mystic, Connecticut, with his wife Lauralee, is the father of Laura and Evan, and has a long-term interest in Mystic Seaport, where he has served as a Board Member for almost

 years.
